Cachoeira da Fumaça is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Brazil, with a magnificent drop of 400 meters. In the driest part of the year the water doesn't actually reach the bottom, evaporating into 'fumaça' (smoke) on the way down.
A 7 km trek from the town of Capão brings you to the top of the waterfall and offers great views of the surrounding park.
