Rooms
Accommodation at the lodge is designed to reflect the rustic charm of the surrounding wilderness, while providing modern comforts. Each room features wood furnishings, king or two queen beds and views of either the surrounding forest or river. Each room has a patio or balcony that is perfect for relaxing on after a busy day exploring. Cabins are private cottages in style and include hand-crafted wood trim and cabinetry, personal outdoor spaces with barbecues, and some units also include fireplaces.
Location
The Buckeye Tree Lodge enjoys a prime location, less than a mile from the entrance of Sequoia National Park, and just a short drive from iconic attractions, such as the General Sherman Tree, Moro Rock, and the stunning Giant Forest. At the property, there is a charming river running through it and native wildlife can easily be spotted from the patios and balconies.
Food and drink
The Lodge does not have an on-site restaurant, but offers guests the option to purchase a breakfast basket featuring locally sourced treats. The location is rather remote and the cabins are more geared up to self-catering, so we would highly recommend stocking up on groceries and snacks on the drive in to Sequoia.
Alternative places to stay nearby
Where possible, we like to offer a range of accommodation for each stop of your trip, chosen by our specialists as some of their favorite places to stay. To help you make the right choice, we give each property a rating based on its facilities and service, but we also look for hotels with distinct character or a location that can't be bettered.
