Nsolo has just four spacious chalets set on the banks of the seasonally dry Luwi River. Each is built on raised wooden decks and has reed walls, polished wooden floors, thatched roofs and large open air en suite bathrooms with basin, WC and hot shower. The comfortable rooms are all individually hand built each year after the rains and are spacious and beautifully finished, with great views over the riverbed from your private deck — ideal for relaxing in the afternoon with your binoculars.
The thatched chitenje houses the bar and offers a peaceful refuge where guests can study the camp's collection of books or sit and enjoy the views. A short walk from camp there is a small waterhole that attracts game throughout the day and at night. As with all of the other Norman Carr camps, Nsolo has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Meals are all eaten together around a big camp table and are often followed by drinks at the campfire. Although game drives are available, Nsolo specializes mainly in walking safaris through the remote bush, on which you'll set out each day with a skilled resident guide and armed ranger.
