Relax with a day to explore at your own pace. You may choose to unwind in the sun by the pool or on a local beach, but you鈥檒l also find plenty of other attractions nearby and it鈥檚 easy to spend the day exploring nearby hill villages such as Bale or Buje, visiting the nearby parks on foot or taking a boat trip to offshore islands.

From Rovinj, you鈥檒l be driven to the Italian city of Trieste, an hour and a half away, for a walking tour of the historic district and a visit to the nearby Miramare Castle which was home to Ferdinand Maximilian and Charlotte of Belgium of the Habsburg family. From here, you鈥檒l continue for another hour to Slovenia鈥檚 diminutive capital city of Ljubljana.

Spend your day exploring Ljubljana with your guide, strolling the tranquil streets and visiting Ljubljana Castle before being driven out to the countryside and Lake Bled. Here, you鈥檒l visit Bled Castle and enjoy a boat ride out to Bled Island, where the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of Mary sits among tall trees. Your last stop will be the Bohinj Valley where you鈥檒l take a cable car to the local ski hub and get panoramic views of the Julian Alps.
