The attractive red brick Bailey’s Hotel is well located on Gloucester Road, in the heart of Kensington. Despite its historic nature, the hotel is beautifully decorated in a contemporary style that remains in keeping with the local area and the building’s character.
The light and elegant restaurant and bar on the ground floor have tall windows, high ceilings and wooden floors, while the grand spiral staircase leading upstairs has its original stained glass windows.
Each floor of guest rooms has its own unique British theme of decor, ranging from Kew Gardens to vintage city gent. Rooms reflect this theme in their furnishings, artwork and palette, and each is spacious and delightfully characterful.
We particularly love the different British-themed decor which varies from floor to floor and the excellent artisanal Italian food served in the restaurant.

Rooms
Each floor has its own theme of British-style decor, artfully indicated by a cluster of pictures and postcards in the corridors. Artwork, fabric and furnishings within the rooms reflect this theme, although many rooms have their own unique touches such as one with a vintage teapot lamp. All rooms are well equipped with a smart TV, international plug sockets, tea and coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi, while junior and signature suites also feature a Sky box and a Nespresso machine. Luxury rooms upwards offer complimentary access to the Bailey’s Lounge, which serves soft drinks, snacks and breakfast. Shower and bath facilities in the en suite bathrooms differ throughout.
Location
The Bailey’s Hotel is situated directly opposite the Gloucester Road tube station in the heart of trendy Kensington. London’s main museums are just a short walk away, and in the vicinity are several excellent restaurants, cafés and independent boutiques. Hyde Park is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
Food and drink
The attractive Olives Restaurant on the ground floor serves a hot and cold buffet for breakfast, and a rustic Italian menu for lunch and dinner. Olives Bar offers a selection of Italian snacks to complement its cocktail menu. Both venues are light and pleasant with wooden floors, high ceilings and a casual, brasserie-style atmosphere.
