Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi
Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi
The cruises are shaded and gently make their way upstream toward the National Park, usually accompanied by a brief talk about the river and its wildlife by your skipper.
Change location
If you would like an action filled few hours, with a great adrenaline rush, then a trip to Livingstone Island with a picnic lunch in the dry months is highly recommended.
You are taken by boat to the island on the edge of Victoria Falls and taken on a brief history tour before swimming across a channel, crossing a rocky outcrop and jumping into a rock pool. From here you will be right next to the main flow and by lifting yourself onto the rocky outcrop, you can see to the bottom of the Victoria Falls.
Please note that this trip is subject to water levels and if the water is too high the trips will not run for safety reasons. Swimming in the rock pool on the edge of the Falls is only possible in the dryer season when water levels are sufficiently low.
These activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences around where you're staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident's eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can suggest tours and activities that will introduce you to the local ways of life.
