American Airlines officially began its existence in 1929 with the amalgamation of several existing companies. The chief pilot of one of these companies was none other that the aviator Charles A. Lindbergh, who gained fame for his solo crossing of the Atlantic. Today, it is one of the biggest domestic carriers in the United States and fly's to numerous destinations around the world.
As part of a plan to take delivery of more new aircraft than any other American carrier by the end of the decade, American Airlines is introducing brand new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on select routes. Standout features include Wi-Fi connectivity in all cabin classes and fully flat Business Class seats, all with direct aisle access. It will also be the only American carrier to offer a refreshment walk-up bar for premium passengers.
