Guests are picked up from their hotel and driven to the Puerto Bandera pier where you begin your navigation through Lago Argentino up to the Upsala Channel.
You sail as far up the channel as possible (dependent on weather) in order to view the stunning Upsala Glacier. This remains South America’s longest glacier at a length of 60 kilometres, a width of between five and seven kilometres and a 60 metre high snout.
You then proceed to Cristina Bay to visit the picturesque Estancia Cristina. Estancia Cristina was founded in 1914 by Joseph Percival Masters, an Englishman who came to Patagonia in 1900 in search of a promising future with his wife. After travelling around Patagonia the family settled on the north channel of Lago Argentina and built Estancia Cristina. The estancia has been preserved since the death of the final member of the family in 1997.
Upon arrival at the estancia you will have a choice of two options:
1) A delicious three-course meal including wine and an interesting tour of the museum and estancia.
2) A three to four hour trek which offers unforgettable views across the Glaciers National Park.
In the afternoon you sail back to Puerto Bandera where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
