Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Perth.

  • On-board your international outbound flight to Perth.

  • On arrival in Perth, you will be transferred by private vehicle to your downtown accommodation. The remainder of the day is free to relax. Why not shake off the jet lag with a walk around the new Elizabeth Quay district to explore the harbourfront, before heading to the state buildings for dinner.

  • You have the day at leisure today. You may like to hop on the train or ferry to Fremantle (known as Freo to the locals) and spend your day wandering around the markets, maritime museum or Fremantle Prison.

  • Today, you have a full day to explore Rottnest Island by foot, boat, and bicycle. Spend some time relaxing on the stunning white sand beaches of this nature reserve just off the coast of Perth, and keep an eye out for the island's most famous furry inhabitant, the quokka!

  • Collect your hire car and drive north to Nambung National Park to spend the day exploring the remarkable Pinnacles Desert which sits in contrast against the blues of the Indian Ocean. Please note that your hire car is subject to a one-way drop-off fee, which will need to be paid locally.

  • Continue to Kalbarri National Park today. Along the drive, you will pass Hutt Lagoon — famed for its pink water due to the algae. The best time of day to see it is when the sun is overhead and with clear skies. On arrival into Kalbarri make your plans to explore one of the many walking trails past canyons and dramatic rock formations.

  • Spend the day exploring Kalbarri National Park. Make sure you pack comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water for today — the Loop and Z Bend is one of the best areas to see the wildflowers at certain times of the year and Nature's Window is best at sunrise and sunset.

  • Today's drive will be at least five hours so make sure you get some lunch supplies on the way out of Kalbarri in the morning. On the way to Monkey Mia, you will pass Hamelin Pool, home to the world's oldest living organisms, and Shell Beach. As the name suggests, the bay is covered in thousands of perfectly bleached shells and crystal-clear water.

  • Today, you will have the chance to explore the rusty red soils, white sand beaches and stunning turquoise seas of the lesser-known Francois Peron National Park. Your Aboriginal guide will teach you stories of the Dreamtime, how to find bush tucker and how to use traditional bush medicine.

  • Head from Monkey Mia to Coral Bay today. We recommend breaking up the drive by stopping at Carnarvon to learn about the farming industry in the area. You will arrive in Coral Bay this afternoon with just enough time to get in the water and explore the shallow reef from the beach.

  • Today, head onward to Exmouth, home of the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park and Cape Range National Park. Spend the day exploring more of the shallow reefs from the beach in preparation for tomorrow's open-water snorkel.

  • Today, you will take a boat out onto the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef, with the chance to snorkel on the pristine reef off the Muiron Islands. Depending on the season you might also see turtles, manta rays, dugongs and coral spawning.

  • Say goodbye to the beach life as you drive to nearby Learmonth Airport this morning and fly back to Perth. Once back in Perth, travel out to Cottesloe Beach to watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean and reflect on your trip.

  • You will be collected from your city accommodation in time for your onward flight.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
