Hotel Sacher Wien

Hotel Sacher Wien

Vienna, Austria

The most storied hotel in Vienna, Hotel Sacher gleams with opulence before you even walk in the door as you’re greeted by doormen in top hats and long burgundy jackets. Located across from the Vienna State Opera, the hotel plays regular host to celebrities and royalty alike. Hotel Sacher has five types of rooms, each more indulgent than the last, but all featuring unique crystal chandeliers, parquet flooring, traditionally patterned furniture and neutral tones.

If you need a day to relax from your exploration of Vienna, book a session at the day spa, which features four different chocolate treatments in addition to its more traditional offerings. Dine among the opera-goers at one of the hotel’s six restaurants and cafés or walk to one of the many nearby bars and restaurants.

Hotel Sacher also offers its guests 24-hour concierge service, a Petit Sacher package for children and even babysitting services. In addition to views of the opera house, you may also get a room with a view of another well-known landmark, such as the Albertina art gallery.

OUR OPINION:

Between chandeliers in every room, warm and inviting common spaces, and unmatched service, Hotel Sacher’s elegance is unparalleled and is one of our preferred hotels in Vienna.

Rooms

Hotel Sacher offers five types of rooms: the Deluxe room, Junior suite, Signature suite, Grand Signature suite and the Madame Butterfly suite. All the rooms are outfitted in light tones of tan, green, pink and blue, and each room has its own unique crystal chandelier.

The Deluxe rooms are the smallest option, though still spacious. Next in size is the Junior suite, which features a larger living area and underfloor heating in the bathroom. The Signature suite has a living area that can be separated from the bedroom, and is available with a terrace. With multiple living areas and lavish furniture, the Grand Signature suite is the second-largest room on offer. The Madame Butterfly suite is the ne plus ultra in opulence, with multiple living spaces, a separate study, a fireplace and a nearly 360-degree view of Vienna.

En suite bathrooms, air conditioning and Wi-Fi come standard in all rooms.
