Sat proudly in the palm-speckled landscape is the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. This state-of-the-art building is an opulent oasis bordered by Cable Beach, where white powdered sand is fringed by the rippling opal waters of Goodman Bay. An extensive resort unashamedly larger than life in its size and facilities, the property boasts seven different pool areas, which includes the Blue Hole with its 3 m (10 ft) cliff jump, an array of designer shops, the Caribbean’s largest casino and its very own Exploration Centre, featuring rescued and rehabilitated animals including sharks and sea turtles.
You're also spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options, which range from the gastropub the Swimming Pig to the poolside The Palms bar. The rooms have a contemporary style, with mod-cons, gleaming marbled bathrooms and either a full or Juliet balcony. Premier options include sea view rooms from the sixth-floor upwards.
We love this hotel’s bold and unbashful character, where bigger is better, and every need is catered for with aplomb.
