On this full-day tour, you’ll explore the snow and ice Marble Canyon and Lake Louise. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Banff before heading to Kootenay National Park for an easy walk along the edge of Marble Canyon, using the gentle walkways and handrails. This area is one of the deepest and narrowest canyons in the Canadian Rockies. Keep a look out for ice climbers in the canyon below as you walk across the footbridges.
The next stop is Lake Louise in Banff National Park, where you’ll have a few hours of free time to walk along the frozen lakeshore with your guide using traditional wooden snowshoes, rent ice skates and take to the lake, or enjoy a 45-minute horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow on the lakeside trail. If you prefer to sit back and take in the view of the Victoria Glacier, you can head into the Chateau Lake Louise for lunch, a champagne afternoon tea, or a drink at the outdoor ice bar. Your guide will meet you in front of the hotel at the end of the day to drive you back to Banff.
