Guests at the lodge are divided into small groups and each group is led by a native guide with expert knowledge of the rainforest plants, and a naturalist guide educated in the biology and ecology of the area.
All days begin early to take advantage of the cool morning hours when the animals should be most active, and afternoon activities begin around 3pm.
Daily activities include visits to the butterfly farm, ascending the observation tower, a canopy walk, treks on well-marked trails, and canoe rides through the blackwater creeks.
Wildlife that may hopefully be spotted includes howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, sloths, butterflies, plus over 550 species of birds. There is also the opportunity to visit the nearby parrot lick at Yasuni National Park.
