An early morning start for the journey to the magnificent El Cajas National Park. Make the stunning journey through the Andes passing through some spectacular rugged scenery on the way.
The El Cajas National Park is a 28,000 hectare area of some 230 lakes and quinoa forest starting at 3,000 metres (10,000 feet) that is home to a variety of wildlife including the Andean Gull, black frogs, hummingbirds and condors as well as a variety of indigenous plants including many rare bromeliads and orchids.
There are many different routes and your guide will advise you which to take according to your interests. Lunch is included and will probably include some trout, as the lakes of the region are teeming with this fish.
