Situated on the site of a historic boat building yard at Fort Cochin's harbour mouth, the Brunton Boatyard is designed using a mixture of 17th century Dutch and Portuguese architectural styles. Though it is built around a garden courtyard, all guest rooms are sea facing. Each is air-conditioned and furnished in teak with an antique four-poster bed, terracotta tiles and a terrace or balcony overlooking the sea.
Facilities include a pool and Ayurvedic centre, the History restaurant which serves an eclectic mélange of cuisine with Portuguese, Arab, Dutch and Keralan influences, the Terrace Grill, serving seafood and the Armoury, serving light snacks.
