Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Denpasar.
-
Arrive at Denpasar Airport today and be met by an Audley representative and private driver. Drive the 30 minutes to Sanur, where you're welcomed by hotel staff. Depending on your flight time, you may have some time free this afternoon. Your luxurious hotel is a short walk from a selection of shops and restaurants, or you may choose to relax.
-
Today, you have a day at leisure in Sanur. You might like to visit Pura Luhur Ulu Watu (better known as Uluwatu Temple), located in the southwest corner of the Bukit Peninsula. Perched high up on the cliff tops with panoramic ocean views, it's worth the short taxi ride out of Sanur. Your hotel can arrange an accompanying guide if you wish.
-
Another day free to explore today. There are many beautiful beaches to explore in the vicinity, including the wonderfully named Dreamland Beach. Uluwatu Beach is best known for its surfing; however, numerous local restaurants on the cliff tops have amazing views of some of the world's most demanding surf: a great spot for lunch or sunset.
-
Today, drive two hours north from Sanur to Ubud, where you will stay for the next three nights. Accompanied by a guide, you can explore some of the scenic rice paddies or local villages along the way. On arrival in Ubud, you will be shown to your hotel, with the rest of the day free to relax. You might like to wander along the main Monkey Forest road this evening to sample Balinese cuisine and soak up the atmosphere.
-
Morning at leisure in Ubud. This afternoon, join a Balinese cook in their home to experience the preparation and enjoyment of cooking a full Indonesian meal. This offers a wonderful insight into Balinese culture and customs and the chance to learn new skills to take home with you. At the end of this private lesson, you can sit down and eat with your hosts.
-
Day at leisure in Ubud. Your unique accommodation, spacious glamping tents, have spacious semi-outdoor spaces to relax in, or you might like to try the pool area.
-
Depart Ubud for Munduk today, driven two hours into the hills by private transfer. The rest of the day is free to explore Munduk. To make your stay special, you might like to arrange a private picnic with your own private chef and waiter.
-
Explore the area around Munduk and enjoy activities at your resort. The spa comes highly recommended or simply relax by the hotel pool. If you would like to explore a little more, it's possible to book a guided trek or walk with an experienced guide from your hotel. The surrounding hills are best explored on foot for some rewarding views.
-
From Munduk transfer to the east coast of Bali today. With a private driver and guide, travel the back roads, seeing the Balinese people going about their daily lives and seeing some less-visited parts of the island. It's possible to stop in local villages for lunch and pause at local temples or stupas. A fascinating journey, arrive in Candidasa in time for dinner.
-
Day at leisure in Candidasa. Private guided bike rides are available to book through the hotel and are a great way to explore the local rural villages. Enjoy a three-course tasting menu this evening at the Alila Manggis' Seasalt restaurant. You could even book a cooking lesson with the chef beforehand.
-
Today explore the volcanic slopes and fishing villages of eastern Bali with your guide and driver, offering you a different perspective on Balinese life. A highlight is Sidemen, home to examples of Bali's finest Songket weaving and, whilst here, enjoy an hour walking through the rice paddies and villages in this picturesque corner of the island. From here you can travel to Pura Kehen, a journey of about 90 minutes. Pura Kehen is a beautiful temple in eastern Bali, located on a picturesque hillside. This full-day tour with an experienced guide and driver goes at your own pace and can be tailored to your interests.
-
This morning take the public speedboat across the Lombok straits to arrive on the beaches of northwest Lombok. This is a shared boat transfer but a guide is on hand to help you on board. On arrival on Lombok, you're met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. Your hotel for the next four nights is situated on the lovely Mangsit Beach, just north of the small town of Senggigi.
-
Day at leisure on Lombok. You might like to join the hotel's early morning yoga class or try a couples' private treatment session in the spa.
-
You might like to arrange a trip to the Gili Islands locally, where you can enjoy the white sand beaches and might be lucky enough to snorkel in clear waters with a variety of sea life. Private boats can be booked through your hotel.
-
