Rooms
Dark woods, crisp white linens and comfortable, minimalist design give the rooms here a sleek, contemporary style. The 180 rooms are laid out across two interconnecting buildings that follow the contour of the hillside. While a number of rooms face the back of the property, the majority look out across the hillside and valley below and offer panoramic views. Within each room you鈥檒l find super-soft bedding, an elegant marble bathroom, minibar and LCD TV as well as high speed Wi-Fi. Some also have their own balcony.
Location
Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa is well located for exploring the wilds of northern Tuscany. With acres of rolling countryside right on the doorstep and the charming towns of Lucca and Barga within easy striking distance, it makes for a great base for those looking for a more active stay.
Food and drink
The hotel鈥檚 restaurant, La Veranda, serves a good selection of Italian dishes throughout the day in a smart but casual setting. Modern in style with dark woods and stone detailing on the walls, the restaurant is contemporary in style but in warm weather guests head directly for the hotel's terrace which offers wonderful views of the rolling Tuscan countryside. The Nour Lounge is a second dining option, offering light bites for lunch and dinner and a range of cocktails.
Facilities and activities
During the summer months the generous outdoor pool and lounging area is a popular spot and offers similar views to the hotel terrace. In cooler months guests can still swim in the large indoor pool. The hotel's extensive spa offers a range of treatments as well as a sauna and solarium.
