Guests are driven from the lodge to the elevated area of northeast Champasak, known as the Bolaven Plateau. This fertile area of southern Laos is renowned for the high quality coffee that it produces, a practice that originated with the French during their time in the region.
During the day exploring the area you will be able to stop at some of the tea and coffee plantations that dot the plateau, as well as visiting the majestic waterfalls of Tad Fane and Tad Lo, where you will have plenty of time to relax and swim in the stunning rock pools.
The Bolaven Plateau is home to a diverse array of ethnic groups and your time exploring will enable you to visit some of the ethnic minority villages of the Katu, Ngea and Alak people.
