Tailor-made travel company and safari specialist 香港六合彩开奖记录 is delighted to announce that the greatly anticipated Shipwreck Lodge on Namibia’s remote Skeleton Coast and its sister property Hoanib Valley Camp are now available for its clients to book.
Shipwreck Lodge
Shipwreck Lodge will be the only hotel among the towering sand dunes in the Skeleton Coast National Park when it opens in June.
The unique property gives clients the chance to stay in some of the most dramatic accommodation in Africa, with the entire site designed to resemble the shipwrecks that line this area of Namibia’s coastline. Eight double or twin rooms are available, with two family tents offering en suite facilities and solar power. Communal areas in the centre of the camp follow the design style, and house a lounge and restaurant with a wide, wraparound decking area which is ideal for enjoying the views across the sand to the Atlantic Ocean.
All meals, drinks and activities are included in the price at Shipwreck Lodge. Audley’s clients will enjoy game drives in the national park, sundowner drives into the sand dunes, visits to shipwrecks and 4x4 excursions to the Clay Castles, the Hoanib River Delta and the Mowe Bay seal colony. Clients also experience drives along the Hoarusib River, looking out for desert-adapted elephant.
Hoanib Valley Camp
is a joint venture between the local communities and the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and is an elegant camp found deep in the desert in north western Namibia, in one of the country’s wildest and most remote environments. It is due to open in the coming weeks with only six guest rooms — each an eco-friendly canvas tent with indoor and outdoor showers, and a private veranda to relax on at the end of an exciting day. Communal areas are also under canvas with open sides and stunning views — this area houses a lounge area, bar and dining table and the camp also boasts a fantastic outdoor dining space with fire pit.
Activities at the camp include tracking endangered rhino, desert-adapted elephant and desert-adapted giraffe.
Audley’s clients can enjoy a stay at both properties as part of a tailor-made trip to Namibia. As an example, a 12-day trip ‘Skeleton Coast flying safari’ costs from £15,500 per person (based on two sharing) and includes two nights at Shipwreck Lodge and two nights at Hoanib Valley Camp. It also includes time in Etosha National Park and Sossusvlei. The price includes international and domestic flights, transfers, accommodation on a fully inclusive basis (with the exception of one night in Windhoek which is bed and breakfast) and excursions including light aircraft transfers and flights to explore the Skeleton Coast, game drives and boat trips.
