Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Mexico

The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is a hotel where distinctive modern architecture combines with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean to create an ambience of quiet elegance. An infinity pool with poolside service, a library, first-class restaurants, tennis courts, and an onsite spa and wellness centre with Jacuzzi and sauna, are just some of the hotel’s facilities.

Each guest has complimentary access to their own personal assistant to help them arrange activities during their stay — which can be as relaxed or as busy as the mood takes.

OUR OPINION:

One of the most luxurious properties in Mexico, offering consistently high standards of service and attention to detail. As with most beach hotels along the Baja Corridor, the beach itself, although fantastic, is unsuitable for swimming in the ocean.

OUR RATING: Opulent

In addition to the facilities of the Ocean View range of rooms, the larger suites have a number of bathrooms to match the number of bedrooms, and have a separate powder room. These suites have a kitchen with toaster, blender, utensils, and cookware, complete with professional stainless Viking appliances, including refrigerator, gas range, microwave and dishwasher, washer and dryer.

Location

On the southernmost tip of Mexico’s Baja peninsula, the hotel's clifftop setting is reached by a skilfully engineered tunnel carved 300 metres through the Mexican mountainside.

As private as could be wished, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is still within comfortable walking distance of the town of Cabo, with access to international shops and restaurants, deep-sea fishing, world-class golf, and a range of other activities.

Food and drink

Don Manuel’s old-world Mexico restaurant in the main hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, emphasising locally grown organic produce.

El Farallon, in its cliffside setting, is open from 6am until 10pm to serve locally caught seafood. The Beach Club serves snacks and light meals from 11am to 6pm.

Families

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is ideal for family holidays. Bedrooms can be arranged to give flexible and spacious accommodation, and suites give the ultimate in space and privacy. Babysitting services for newborns up to 12-year-olds are available.

Tortuguitas Kids' Club for four- to 12-year-olds, is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm. Reservations, to be made a day in advance, can be for a half-day, from 9am to 12 noon, or 1pm to 4pm, with a snack, or a full day from 9am to 4pm, with snacks and lunch.

A full programme of kids’ activities is arranged at the Beach Club to suit group sizes and the weather of the day. There is a kids’ film night every Tuesday at the Beach Club, with dinner, drinks and snacks.

Older children and young adults will find that they can take part in most, if not all, the many activities at the resort, either on their own or under supervision from qualified instructors where necessary.
