Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Marrakesh. On arrival at Marrakesh International Airport, you skip the queues at immigration as we’ve included fast-track assistance. You meet your local representative and private driver who welcome you to Morocco and drive you the 15-minute journey to La Sultana Marrakesh, your luxury hotel. Then, you can spend the evening relaxing on the rooftop terrace with a drink, watching the sunset and settling in.

  • Your first full day in Marrakesh will be spent with your private guide, getting to know the hidden highlights of Marrakesh and visiting the tranquil Majorelle Gardens. Our hidden sides tour takes you beyond the touristy areas, and down the winding alleyways of Marrakesh to see hidden treasures. This includes visiting craftsmen and artisans who have spent decades perfecting their trades, and communal bread ovens where locals continue to bake their bread on a daily basis. Touring the Majorelle Gardens is a refreshing change from the hectic souqs. Visit the Amazigh Museum and learn more about the cultural traditions, clothing, language and jewellery of the Amazigh people.

  • Today you enjoy more unique and memorable experiences in Marrakesh, starting the day with a private sidecar tour of the city. With your local guide, you explore areas unvisited by most tourists, including the Palmeraie, known for its mix of tall palm trees, desert oasis and luxurious walled villas, Marrakesh’s medina, and the 1920s-influenced Gueliz district. Now you’ve explored the city at street level, this evening you get a completely different view when you head up in a hot air balloon. The ride takes you across the city and up to the dramatic landscapes north of Marrakesh, an impressive way to watch the sunset.

  • Three hours’ drive northwest of Marrakesh lies Oualidia. There you will find La Sultana Oualidia, a luxury retreat on the coast in the middle of nowhere. The speciality here is the hotel’s seafood, so on arrival, you have a private cooking class to introduce you to some traditional Moroccan dishes, made using locally sourced ingredients. Return to your ocean-view suite and enjoy some time relaxing on your private terrace. This evening you can continue to unwind as you have been booked in for a couple’s hammam and massage treatment at La Sultana’s spa.

  • Continue your relaxing break with a sunrise yoga session to improve your flexibility and physical strength. You join a small class led by an experienced instructor who guides you through the session. We recommend having a light breakfast today as afterwards, you head out for a gourmet escape combining a visit to the oyster beds nearby, and enjoying a private lunch. You take a traditional fishing boat to the other side of the lagoon to find a secluded cove where you have lunch, before visiting the oyster beds and learning about oyster farming here which has been taking place since the 1950s.

  • You start your final full day in Morocco with a privately guided kayaking expedition across the Oualidia lagoon, an ecological site 12 kilometres in size, home to many native and migratory birds. The wetlands here have been classed as being of international importance and La Sultana does a lot of work toward its conservation. For your final dinner in Morocco, you have a romantic and memorable ‘Berber’ tent dinner in a setting of your choice.

  • Today you bid farewell to La Sultana, and your private driver collects you and drives you on the two-and-a-half-hour journey to Marrakesh International Airport for your onward flight. You have fast-track assistance on departure, so you will skip the queues again and have a pain-free journey through the airport. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
