Cruise Ships in Myanmar : RV Katha Pandaw

Part of the Irrawaddy Flotilla Company's high-quality fleet, the charming RV Katha Pandaw has a traditional colonial style. Smaller than some of the other Pandaw boats, with just 16 cabins, it evokes a personal and intimate atmosphere without compromising on comfort.

The Katha Pandaw is a workhorse on the Ayeyarwady, plying the stretch of river between Bagan and Mandalay with the occasional venture down to the busy city of Yangon. As with other Pandaw vessels it is a resplendent replica of the old Irrawaddy Flotilla fleet and oozes colonial charm, with old prints, maps and oil paintings decorating the rooms, adding to the authentic atmosphere on board.

These historical roots, trusted service and traditional comfort elevate the experience both on board and on land. Highlights such as the Bagan archaeological site, Mingun Pagoda, U-Bein Bridge and Mandalay Hill are brought to life by the resident Pandaw guide. Pandaw also supports local charity projects, so by travelling on board their vessels you’ll be helping the communities that line your route.
