Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Yangon.

  • On arrival in Yangon, you will be met by your private vehicle and transferred to the beautifully restored Governor's Residence.

  • Today, you will explore the highlights of colonial Yangon with your private guide. This evening, you will have a tour of the Shwedagon Pagoda at sunset — a perfect time to soak up the magical atmosphere at the city's spiritual centrepiece.

  • This morning, fly to Bagan in time to board the luxury river cruiser, the Road to Mandalay. You will have chance to visit some of the most impressive temples of Bagan today.

  • After a morning exploring the temples of Pagan, relax on board the Road to Mandalay as it gently takes you downstream to Mandalay.

  • Visit the former city of Sagaing on the banks of the Ayeyarwady.

  • Explore the unfinished yet colossal remains of King Bodawpaya's Pagoda at Mingun and the world's largest uncracked bell.

  • Disembark the Road to Mandalay and transfer to the airport for your flight to Heho. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the small town of Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to Inle Lake. Here you will travel to your lakeside accommodation.

  • Explore Inle Lake by private boat. This leisurely day trip includes visits to stilted villages, monasteries and an interesting tribal market.

  • Return to the airport at Heho and fly to Ngapali Beach for three nights, relaxing at the beautiful Sandoway Resort. This is an undeveloped beach and is a hidden gem!

  • Relax on the beach.

  • Return to Yangon and spend the afternoon relaxing at your hotel or taking a leisurely walking tour to explore the city's colonial architecture and history.
