Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Windhoek.

  • On arrival at Windhoek Airport, you will be met and driven to your hotel. Our ground agent will meet with you, run through your trip and hand over your mobile phone, cool box and driving directions. They will also be present whilst your car is delivered to ensure that any questions you have are answered.

  • Leaving Windhoek you will head south to the NamibRand Nature Reserve — a drive of about six hours. We recommend you aim to get here around 3pm in time for an afternoon nature drive or scenic walk.

  • Enjoy the activities on offer with your guide today. Activities from Wolwedans Reserve are well-guided by knowledgeable guides. You can enjoy morning and evening safaris and walks as well as full days out on the reserve with a picnic lunch.

  • Leaving the NamibRand Nature Reserve, you will head north to the Sesriem area. The drive will take around two hours.

  • Spend the day enjoying the wonders of the Namib Desert and its massive sand dunes. You can leisurely stroll through the shifting shapes or tackle one of the bigger dunes and try to climb it. Lunch under a shady tree will be the reward for whatever you decide to do in the Vlei.

  • After breakfast you will drive north to Swakopmund, situated on the Atlantic Coast. In the afternoon you can explore the town or enjoy an activity — perhaps some quad biking through the dunes.

  • Take a boat cruise today in search of the seals and dolphins off Pelican Point. This is a great excursion and will offer you the chance to get up close to these mischievous creatures. There are plenty of other excursions to enjoy here as well such as a guided trip to Sandwich Harbour, kayaking, birding tours, or a living desert tour.

  • After a leisurely morning, you will drive back to Windhoek today for your overnight stop. Your car will be collected in the morning from your guesthouse.

  • Early this morning, you will be collected and driven to Windhoek Airport in time for your flight to Johannesburg, where you will connect to another flight to Botswana. Arriving in the early afternoon, you will be met by your light aircraft pilot and shown to your plane, which will take you across the Delta to the Private Kwara Concession — this is an outstanding game area on the edge of the Okavango.

  • Today you will have the option of enjoying morning and afternoon safari activities. Normally the activities will start at around 6am, and you will return mid-morning for lunch and siesta before going out again in the afternoon. Guided day and night safaris, guided walks and mokoro rides are on offer.

  • Enjoy another day of safari in the private Kwara Concession.

  • Today you will fly back to Maun Airport by light aircraft to meet your onward flights.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
