Rooms
River Birches' three guest rooms are each named after famous anglers of a bygone era and open to a private terrace and garden area. Each room is equipped with a super king-size bed with luxurious linens, individually controlled air conditioning, monogrammed bathrobes and a splendid en suite bathroom featuring separate shower, generously sized bath, under-floor heating, personalised toiletries, and bath salts.
In addition, you can stay in the three-bedroom cottage, which was designed for families and small groups as it provides privacy and flexibility. This self-contained cottage has a generous hamper of breakfast provisions for you to use in the well-equipped kitchen throughout your stay. The master bedroom is equipped with an en suite bathroom and has a king-size bed. Upstairs there are two rooms, a study, and one shared full bathroom.

River Birches Lodge is located in the epicentre Tongariro National Park within the small town of Turangi, which is known for its pristine alpine landscape. This property is ideally situated for people wanting to walk the Tongariro Alpine Crossing or wanting to go fly-fishing.

Continental breakfast and a cooked gourmet breakfast are available daily for the three bed and breakfast rooms. Dinners are individually plated and served lodge style at a communal table.
