Te Anau Lodge is located on the edge of the town and sits at the gateway to Fiordland National Park.
The building started off as a convent in 1936 and was moved to Te Anau in the 1990s. With this in mind, the structure has a rich history with traditional wooden panelling throughout. The dining room is set in the old chapel with an impressive stained-glass window as its focal point. The communal lounge is set in the original library. Here, guests can enjoy the view out to Lake Te Anau and the Murchison Mountains.
This cosy, characterful property benefits from views of the lake and mountains in the distance and is well located for exploring the local area of Fiordland.
