This trip will include a visit to one of La Pintada's cigar factories where you can watch cigars still made in the traditional manner — hand-rolled, hand-cut and hand-pressed.
You also visit the local handicraft market at La Pintada, which has a number of handmade pots, knick-knacks and locally made hats.
From here you will move to the town of Nata, one of Panama's oldest European settlements. The town is steeped in tales of gold plundering and slavery. Today it is known throughout Panama for its lovely church, which dates back to 1522 making it one of the oldest in Latin America.
Finally you visit the town of Aguadulce (meaning sweet water), one of Panama's sugar cane and shrimp epicentres. It is also renowned for the disused salt flats to the south of the town which attracts a number of seabirds and sea lions.
