Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Lima. Arriving in Lima, you'll be met by your private guide and assisted to your hotel for the evening.

  • Return to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. From Puerto Maldonado, you will board a motorised canoe and head into the Amazon to your lodge to begin your jungle adventure. In the evening you will enjoy your first venture into the Amazon on an evening excursion.

  • Your second day of Amazon activities can include anything from a canopy walk to a canoe trip around an oxbow lake.

  • This morning you will return to Puerto Maldonado for your flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel via private transfer. After getting settled into your hotel we recommend spending the afternoon and evening relaxing and acclimatising.

  • Enjoy a guided tour of the highlights of Cuzco and nearby Inca ruins.

  • Make your way through the Sacred Valley with visits to Písac, one of the most vibrant markets in Peru, the agricultural terraces of Moray, and the salt pans at Maras.

  • This morning you will board the train for Machu Picchu. The journey traces the edge of the white-water Urubamba River as it twists through the increasingly steep-sided jungle valley. You’ll spot a series of Incan sites from your seat before arriving at Aguas Calientes. After disembarking from the train you will take a short bus journey up to Machu Picchu for your privately guided tour of the Inca ruins.

  • Today you can return to Machu Picchu for a morning of independent exploration before catching an afternoon train back to Cuzco.

  • Today, you will be met at your hotel and driven to the airport in a private vehicle for your domestic flight to Lima, where you will connect for your international flight home.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
