Found within the winding streets of Seville鈥檚 former Jewish quarter (Juder铆a), the Hotel Las Casas de La Juder铆a offers a unique place to stay in the heart of the city. Comprised of 27 close-knit houses and a small palace, the hotel鈥檚 interlinked buildings create a secluded maze-like compound of pathways and plazas, preserving the historic atmosphere of the quarter.
The 134 rooms spread between the various buildings reflect the unusual, historic nature of the hotel in their simple yet comfortable decor, with wooden furnishings and patterned linens, while the tiled marble bathrooms are comfortably modern.
Navigating the warren of passages between, and even underneath, the buildings (the hotel will gladly provide a map), you鈥檒l find a number of relaxing courtyards as well as a large roof terrace complete with a small bar and rooftop pool. Breakfast is served in the basement beneath a vaulted ceiling with marble columns. The hotel also hosts an external spa that guests are welcome to use for a fee during their stay.
Please note that due to the historic nature of the hotel, rooms can vary in size and the Wi-Fi connection can be patchy in certain areas.聽
A charming and characterful property, Hotel Las Casas de la Juder铆a is good for those looking for an immersive experience in the heart of Seville.

Rooms
The historic nature of the hotel means that rooms tend to vary in size, however all are comfortable and with interesting decor, evoking the feeling of staying in a friend鈥檚 guest room rather than in a hotel. Patterned linens cover the beds and frame the windows, and en suite bathrooms offer modern touches like marble fixtures and whirlpool tubs. All rooms offer TVs and air conditioning, though it can be difficult to access Wi-Fi from the rooms.
Location
The Santa Cruz district is the home of Seville鈥檚 former Jewish quarter, also known as La Juder铆a, and is centrally located in the historic heart of the city. In less than ten minutes, you can walk to both the Seville Cathedral and the Real Alc谩zar, and in just over 15 minutes you can walk to Parque de Mar铆a Luisa and the Plaza de Espa帽a.
Food and drink
Breakfast is served buffet style in a vaulted basement room surrounded by marble columns. In the palace wing you鈥檒l find a classically styled piano bar, and on the roof terrace there is a pool bar that鈥檚 open through the warmer months. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but you鈥檙e mere steps away from several caf茅s, restaurants and tapas bars.
Facilities and activities
As well as a small rooftop pool open to all guests, there is an expansive spa complex also located within the complex. Mimicking the appearance of a Roman bathhouse (the remains of which can be seen just outside the spa doors), the spa offers numerous facilities including a Turkish bath, treatment rooms, warm and cold pools, and massage services. Because the spa is run by an outside company, you鈥檒l need to book services in advance.
Accessibility
Although each portion of the hotel is accessible by elevator, due to its labyrinthine nature we don鈥檛 recommend this hotel for those with mobility issues.
