Itinerary idea in detail

With international flights from a choice of airports including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Milan. Arriving at the airport, you'll be met by a private driver who will assist with your luggage and escort you to your hotel in Lugano. Relax and take a stroll along the lake after settling in.

  • Today, you’ll join a private guide for a foodie’s tour of Lugano. You’ll combine the city's historic sites with stops for cheeses, meats and treats, as well as local wine tastings.

  • Spend today exploring the surrounding area at leisure using our recommendations. Make a trip to visit Como in Italy or perhaps the small fishing and olive towns of Morcote and Gandria.

  • From Lugano, you’ll enjoy one of Switzerland's scenic journeys aboard the Gotthard Panorama Express. A combination of train and boat routes, you'll take in the changing scenery before finally arriving in ´Üü°ù¾±³¦³ó in the afternoon.

  • Today you'll join a small group to take in some of Switzerland's cultural institutions, with cheese and chocolate tastings, a visit to a traditional Alpine farm and a cable car ride into the Alps, with free time to further explore.

  • This morning you'll join a private walking tour of ´Üü°ù¾±³¦³ó's old town. Your guide will give you an orientation and history of the city as you take in the famous sights. In the afternoon you'll be able to continue exploring on your own.

  • Leaving ´Üü°ù¾±³¦³ó, you'll travel west by train, enjoying scenic backdrops along the way. After three hours, you'll arrive at the Alpine ski town of Zermatt, where you'll check into your hotel.

  • Today's private tour will begin in the historic district of Zermatt before continuing by cable car to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, where you'll visit Europe's highest mountain station with views of numerous nearby peaks and glaciers.

  • Spend a leisurely day exploring more of Zermatt or perhaps take a short cog rail ride to Gornergrat for sweeping mountain views and a variety of hiking options.

  • Checking out of Zermatt, you'll travel by train, north to Lake Geneva, where you'll stay in the lakeside town of Montreux. Spend the afternoon walking the shoreline trail or visiting one of the many seasonal festivals.

  • The train and bus journey to Gstaad is nearly as impressive as the final destination of Glacier 3000. You'll spend the day exploring on your own the numerous cable cars and suspension bridges, with a number of activities on offer.

  • Spend your last full day exploring Montreux. The town’s main promenade is not to be missed for gentle strolls along the lakeside. Château de Chillon is a maintained medieval castle on a rocky outcrop just off of the lakeshore. There is a permanent exhibition at the castle as well as temporary exhibits throughout the year, dedicated to the history of the site and modern contemporary art. An easy stroll along the promenade.

  • Checking out, you'll make your way to the airport in Geneva by train for your onward flight. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
