Kichaka Zumbua Camp is located in the Landa section of Ruaha National Park, a true wilderness area where you're unlikely to see anyone else other than the occasional park ranger. The camp sits upon a hill, with views over the grasslands dotted with ghostly baobab trees and the seasonal Ruaha River.
There are just three luxurious suites, each with comfortable beds and a shaded veranda area at the front with chairs where you can relax and enjoy the views. Each suite has a private plunge pool, sundowner deck and day bed area. The suites offer complete privacy, and as you have a drink on your raised sundowner deck, it feels like you have Ruaha all to yourself. Adjoining each suite sits a lavish bathroom complete with a flushing toilet, bathtub and outdoor shower.
The main area of the camp is divided into three sections, a relaxed lounge with comfy sofas with an information centre where you can admire the views or read a book with a cup of tea, a dedicated dining room where you can enjoy a varied menu of cuisine prepared by the chef, and finally a central pool and well stocked 'Star-Bar' to chat by the fire or admire the tremendous night sky.
The property is owned by your host, Noelle, and Moli, who's one of the most experienced guides in Tanzania and has worked with Kichaka for many years. His enthusiasm for the wildlife of Ruaha and his expertise is bound to make your stay a memorable one.
