Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Bangkok.

  • Your guide will greet you at Bangkok Airport and accompany you on your private transfer to your boutique hotel on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.

  • Today, enjoy a private guided tour of Bangkok, visiting the capital's key attractions: the Grand Palace, Wat Po (home to the reclining Buddha) and Jim Thompson's house. Try out Bangkok's different forms of public transport — the Skytrain which winds its way through the skyscrapers and shopping malls, the public taxi boat, a long-tail boat and of course the ubiquitous Thai tuk-tuk. This fun excursion gives you a fantastic insight into the capital and the people who call Bangkok home.

  • Your guide will collect you today to accompany you on your private transfer to the pretty town of Amphawa, a journey of around one and a half hours. This area is famous for its authentic floating markets and traditional ways of life. Visit the fascinating market stalls with your private guide, located on the railway tracks and the floating market to enjoy a fascinating private boat ride through the narrow canals. The best time to visit is on the weekend when locals flock to the area to buy from the floating vendors.

  • Return to Bangkok today for your internal flight to the historical and colourful city of Chiang Mai, located in the north of Thailand. Your driver is waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel by private car. You have three nights to explore and enjoy Thailand's northern capital.

  • Today, explore the main sights of Chiang Mai, including the lost city of Wiang Kum Kam and the trading community of Wat Gatekaram, with your private guide. Through narrow alleyways and winding pathways best accessed with two-wheel transport, you'll pass markets, temples and a vast array of unique "street life". Lunch is taken at a traditional noodle café. The afternoon is free to relax, you might like to try out your hotel pool.

  • Today is free to explore Chiang Mai. Late afternoon is a great time to visit Chiang Mai's most famous landmark: the temple of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. This is one of Thailand's most important temples and has fantastic views of the city. In the evening you may like to visit the city's famous night bazaar.

  • The beach part of your holiday starts today. After a morning at leisure, your private driver will collect you from your hotel to take you to the local airport for your internal flight to Phuket, a journey of around two hours. At Phuket Airport, our driver will be waiting to take you to your lovely beach accommodation on the white sands of Khao Lak, a journey of about one and a half hours. The Ramada has a fantastic location along the beach from local restaurants, bars and markets.

  • Day at leisure to relax at your hotel, or explore the surrounding area. Your hotel has a lovely infinity pool, a spa and offers open-air Thai cooking classes. Bicycles to explore the area can be rented from the hotel and for young families there is a Kids' Club.

  • Another day free to explore today. In addition to the beach, there is plenty to do on Khao Lak, and your time can be as busy or as relaxed as you like. The nearby Similan Islands are one of the world's top dive sites, and there are great snorkelling trips out to the Surin Islands, which can be booked by your hotel.

  • You may like to consider a day trip to Pung Chang cave today with its fascinating rock formations, which is accessed via a bamboo raft, and then head out on a long-tail boat to visit the famous James Bond Island!

  • Day at leisure at your beach location. You might like to make your stay special by booking a private dinner on the beach or trying the spa.

  • Today is your last day by the beach before heading home. If you are seeking some adventure, you might like to book a river rafting or 4x4 tour, exciting ways to explore the surrounding jungle.

  • Your driver will collect you from the hotel this morning for your private transfer to Phuket Airport in time for your onward flights home. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
