Bangaan Village
Bangaan Village
Visit the village of Bangaan, a typical village of the Ifugao tribe. See the typical Ifugao houses, their livelihood, their school and their method of farming the rice terraces.
Batad is a village deep in the mountains that is known for its rice terraces which have been built in concentric circles down the mountain sides like an amphitheatre with the village right in the middle. It is an unusual sight.
The trek to Batad takes three hours one way and passes through other rice terraces, villages, river crossings, and a rainforest. Upon reaching Batad, enjoy the moment of accomplishment of the trek, visit the village and marvel at the clever way with which the terraces were built.
