Chez Galip pottery workshop
Chez Galip pottery workshop
Visit the workshop of one of the finest pottery masters in Turkey and watch him at work, or take part in a workshop yourself.
Located a short distance out of Göreme town, the Göreme Open Air Museum is a well-preserved selection of cave houses, monasteries and churches, which date back to the 10th century.
Laid out as a monastic complex, the museum consists of several churches and refectories set into the rocks and fairy chimneys, with exceptionally well-preserved frescoes on the walls.
When exploring the site, you will see how the rocks were carved into places to work, eat, cook and sleep, and also witness a very different style of fresco than can be found elsewhere.
These activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences around where you're staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident's eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can suggest tours and activities that will introduce you to the local ways of life.
