Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Darwin.

  • On-board your international outbound flight to Darwin.

  • On arrival in Darwin, you will be transferred by private vehicle to your downtown accommodation. The remainder of the day is free to relax.

  • Collect your hire car this morning and drive to Jabiru in the Kakadu National Park. You may wish to stop off at the Adelaide River to see the jumping crocodiles and, later, perhaps drive north of Jabiru to visit the Aboriginal rock art site at Ubirr.

  • Join a small group tour that will take you to Arnhem Land today. You will spend some time at Injalak Hill to view the rock art with an Aboriginal guide, enjoy the spectacular scenery and visit a local Indigenous Australian community and arts centre.

  • Drive down to the Cooinda Lodge Kakadu, where you will stay tonight. The day is at leisure to explore, so you may like to visit Nourlangie Rock to see more rock art and a beautiful view over the surrounding areas.

  • Depart on your Yellow Water Cruise this morning and enjoy starting the day by viewing the myriad of wildlife that calls this area home. This afternoon, wind your way back to Darwin through the wetlands at a leisurely pace and stay in Darwin one last night.

  • In the morning, make your way to the airport and drop off your hire car at the car depot before checking in for your flight to Alice Springs. On arrival make your own way to the resort on the outskirts of Alice and spend your afternoon at leisure exploring this interesting town.

  • Start before dawn this morning for a ballooning adventure which will offer you a completely unique and mesmerising view of the Australian Outback. This afternoon take a coach from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock. This afternoon is at leisure in Ayers Rock to relax and enjoy the views from the resort. You might like to swim in the pool or visit the local cultural shops before watching the sunset over the Uluru Outback.

  • This morning you take a tour to Kata Tjuta or The Olgas. The pick-up is early enough to catch the sunrise over the rock and enjoy the setting before breakfast at Walpa Gorge and a walk through the Valley of the Winds before the crowds arrive. Spend the day at leisure before taking another tour this afternoon to the magnificent Uluru rock, followed by sunset from the rock viewing platform.

  • A courtesy transfer is included back to the airport this morning for your flight to Adelaide via Alice Springs. On arrival take a taxi from the rank to your accommodation in the city centre and perhaps enjoy a meal at one of Adelaide's excellent restaurants.

  • Today is at leisure to explore Adelaide. We recommend visiting the Migration Museum, a great place to gain insight into how Australia's population has formed over several generations of immigrants.

  • Make your way to the airport today for your onward flight.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
