Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Maun.

  • On arrival at Maun Airport, your guide will meet you and drive you in a 4x4 out of Maun and through the Moremi Game Reserve to the private Khwai Concession and Sango Safari Camp. As you drive through the Moremi Game Reserve you have the chance to spot some of the rarest wildlife in Botswana including cheetahs, white rhinos, black rhinos, African wild dogs and sables.

  • Enjoy morning and afternoon safari activities from Sango Camp today. Morning and afternoon safaris are offered in both the private Khwai Concession and the larger Moremi Game Reserve. Because of the combination of landscapes between these two reserves, this area offers arguably the most abundant variety of wildlife and birdlife in northern Botswana.

  • Today is another full day on safari from Sango Camp. The wildlife here is excellent, with great opportunities to see lions, leopards, elephants and giraffes. From here, you can also go on night drives, which are a great way to see nocturnal species. Depending on the time of year and water level, it's possible to get out on a mokoro safari and see wildlife from a different point of view.

  • This morning, you'll drive from Sango Safari Camp to Chobe National Park via the Savuti. On arrival, you will be met by a driver and transferred by road to Chobe Elephant Camp, situated on the escarpment overlooking the Chobe River and the national park beyond.

  • Enjoy morning and afternoon safari activities from Chobe Elephant Camp today. A morning safari looking for zebras and buffaloes is followed by an evening river cruise, where you might see elephants crossing the Chobe River, which is a great way to spend the day.

  • Today you'll have another full day to explore the area with your guide. You will head out early in the morning, whilst it is cool enough for the animals to still be up and about, and later in the afternoon as they start to hunt. During the heat of the day, you can rest and relax at the camp.

  • This morning, you'll be taken back to Kasane Airport by road. From there, you will be picked up by a driver and transferred over the border into Zimbabwe. On arrival at your lodge, you will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

  • Today, you can enjoy the magnificence of Victoria Falls. Your private guide will then take you through the rainforest and along the walkways that follow the gorge. You'll be told the stories of the discovery of the falls by David Livingstone and the history behind his journey. Your guide will also point out the local flora and fauna, birds, and any other wildlife that you may spot. You can also book additional activities for today such as rafting, helicopter rides, and river cruises or simply relax if you prefer.

  • Spend your morning relaxing at your hotel or further exploring the falls, before enjoying the scenery of the Zambezi at sunset onboard a comfortable single-level cruise. The cruise will last a couple of hours and will generally head upstream exploring the banks of Long Island, a popular birding spot where hippos also tend to congregate. Along the way, you'll be served hot and cold canapes, delicious South African wines or even your choice of cocktail. Your captain will manoeuvre the boat into the open water in time to witness the sun dipping below the horizon before turning for home. Once back at the jetty, a driver will return you to your hotel in time for dinner.

  • This morning, you will be driven to Victoria Falls Airport for your onward flight.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
