Max Davidson is one of the Top End's true characters and has been operating Davidson's Arnhemland Safaris for over 20 years. The camp is set in pristine bushland in remote west Arnhemland, and a visit here offers the opportunity to visit one of Australia's richest and most powerful Aboriginal sites. Thanks to the unique relationship that he has built up with the local Aboriginal community, Max and his well-trained guides have sole access to over 70 square kilometers of this pristine and unspoiled region around Mount Borradaile. Access to the camp is usually by a spectacular light aircraft flight from Darwin or Jabiru, offering fantastic views of river systems, floodplains and the Arnhemland escarpment.
Accommodation is provided in simple but comfortable tents and the shared bathroom facilities have toilets and hot showers. Meals are taken in the central tent and the wholesome and plentiful food is supplemented by tales of life in this untamed land.
