On arrival in Nassau, you'll meet your driver and enjoy a private transfer to one of the many luxurious hotels in the city. This afternoon, perhaps stroll down the long stretches of white sand beach and dip your toes in the warm water. This evening, you could head into the city for dinner — we can recommend the Graycliff Hotel, which serves exquisite modern Caribbean fare and delicious home-distilled rum cocktails.
-
This morning's culinary walking tour of Nassau will take you to local vendors, bakers and chefs, who will provide dishes for you to sample. From cracked conch to baked rum cakes, you'll have a full insight into some of the island's foods and great local restaurant recommendations. In the afternoon, you could grab your snorkel and flippers and dive into the warm turquoise waters to spot swathes of marine life.
-
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before being collected for today's sailing trip. You'll leave the dock on Paradise Island and sail out to secluded Rose Island, an isolated sandbank surrounded by vibrant coral reef. Tuck into a delicious Bahamian lunch and then relax on the beach, play volleyball or swim in the ocean. After an adventurous afternoon, you'll be dropped back at your hotel.
-
After a leisurely breakfast, your driver will take you by private car to the airport for a 30-minute domestic flight over to the small island of Eleuthera. On arrival, make your way through customs to an awaiting driver, who will transport you to your new accommodation. In the afternoon, why not stroll down to the white-sand beach or relax by the poolside. The hotels on Eleuthera have excellent choices for dinner if you wish to stay in tonight.
-
For your first full day in Eleuthera, we can recommend asking the hotel to organize some transfers for you to visit the local pineapple plantations in Gregory Town, some of the more remote and wild beaches down in South Eleuthera, or a visit to the pastel cottages and whitewashed houses of Governor's Harbour. The Glass Window Bridge is not to be missed, with views out to the dark blue Atlantic on one side and the Bight of Eleuthera on the other.
-
One of the highlights of this itinerary is a visit to Harbour Island. Harbour Island is a small island just off the northeast coast of Eleuthera and can be reached by a short taxi ride, followed by a seven-minute boat ride. Once on Harbour Island, there are several beaches for you to relax on but the most famous is Pink Sands Beach on the west shore of the island. In Dunmore Town, there is a selection of independent cafés and shops to explore.
-
The white waves of the Atlantic crash against the rocky shore of the east of the island, while the calm water of the Bight of Eleuthera laps against the soft sand on the west of the island. You may wish to take a walk along the coastline and explore some of the island's natural blue holes and coves. Alternatively, spend the day resting at the hotel by the pool.
-
Other than Harbour Island, there's another small island off the north coast of Eleuthera called Spanish Wells. We recommend speaking to the hotel about the water taxi timetable to plan your journey there today. The village on Spanish Wells is tiny, so it may be worth bringing your own provisions for the day's exploration. As the shallow fringing reef runs right against Eleuthera the waters off Spanish Wells are ideal for snorkeling and swimming.
-
You'll have most of the day at leisure to enjoy the spa, pool and beach before being transferred back to the airport in time for your 30-minute flight to Nassau. You'll have plenty of time to collect your luggage and check in before your international flight.
