The Kanana Mokoro Trail is a specially designed mokoro experience, allowing guests a unique opportunity to search for rarely seen creatures such as the sitatunga and Pel's fishing owl.
The Trails camp accommodates a maximum of four people in two twin bedded tents, and includes the services of two professional guides, personal chef, waiter, housekeeper and mokoro guides. You will reach your camp by mokoro gliding peacefully to one of the most remote areas of the Okavango Delta where your rustic bush camp is set up for you on a secluded island.
The accommodation at camp is in spacious dome tents each with private bucket shower (filled with hot water by the camp staff) and long drop toilet. Dinners are eaten around a blazing campfire with iced drinks in hand and tall tales from your hosts about their experiences in the wilds.
The Trails camp is 'mobile', meaning that it can be moved to the best areas (depending on water levels) but it is not moved every night so this is not in essence a mobile safari. It does however have a very rustic and traditional safari atmosphere and is ideal for those looking to get into a completely remote area of the Delta.
Lighting in the camp is by rechargeable 12 volt lamps, charged by solar power, and all cooking in the camp is bush style, using fire and coals and the decades of experience from our camp chefs.
Activities focus on exploring the Delta by mokoro trip along with some guided walks on the islands. The Trails camp is also equipped with rods and spinning lures for those who'd like to try their hand a fishing for bream, pike and silver catfish.
