Combining attentive service and a strong sense of the city’s Art Nouveau past, K+K Hotel Central offers a stylish and comfortable place to base your exploration of Prague. Its central location in the heart of the old town also means it’s easy for you to walk to all of the city’s attractions.
The original building dates from 1901 and the public spaces still reflect its heritage. You’ll see the sinuous curves and dynamic angles of the art movement everywhere, from the well-preserved façade to the parquet floors and the brass cage around the original elevator — the only one from the era to survive in the region. A 21st-century expansion incorporated a nearby concert hall that had a secret lounge bar — today, it’s a modern spa and gym.
Despite the historic exterior, rooms have a mid-century feel, with dark wood wainscoting and low furniture with clean, horizontal lines, as well as all the latest modern amenities.
The breakfast room is ultramodern, perched on a raised steel-and-glass platform and flooded with natural sunlight from the arched skylight, while the Bistro Bar boasts a retro-1970s style, with a chartreuse glass-topped bar.
We love the eclectic blend of styles and eras throughout the hotel, especially when combined with the attentive service and convenient location. This is one of our top choices for Prague.
