Rooms
Spacious air-conditioned beach bungalows all face the lagoon, and have a modern feel with Polynesian highlights, burnished hardwoods, louvered windows, thatched ceilings, and soft-toned fabrics. For groups and families, the resort offers spacious two-bedroom beach villas set around the private sheltered inland lagoon. The overwater bungalows stretch out over the lagoon and have large decking areas with ladders, providing easy access to the water. These bungalows are equipped with the largest glass floor panels in French Polynesia, which is perfect for looking into the turquoise water and spotting tropical fish.
Location
Being located on its own islet with uninterrupted views over the lagoon the resort is 10 minutes from Bora Bora airport by boat. Le Méridien was the first resort to be built across the lagoon from Bora Bora island so affords the best views of Mount Otemanu.
Food and drink
Le Méridien has two restaurants and a pool bar located on the property. Le Te Ava is situated next to the pool and offers light lunches and dinners in a relaxed atmosphere where you can kick off your shoes and sit with your feet in the sand. Le Tipanie offers buffet style meals on Thursdays and Sundays along with local entertainment, and for the rest of the week you can enjoy an à la carte meal while looking out onto the beautiful blue waters. If you are just looking for a lighter snack or drinks, stop by the Miki Miki Bar which is open throughout the day at the beach or the pool.
Families
Although this is predominantly a couples' resort, families are welcome. Babysitting can be arranged for a charge and there are kids' menus at the restaurants.
