The Tugu Blitar is housed in an old colonial building that was built in the 1850s and previously owned by a distinguished family of Blitar. The building has been carefully renovated to preserve its artistic, charismatic, and historical character. The spacious Tugu suites are dominated by romantic colors, large canopied bed and authentic east Javanese flair, with some also boasting a beautiful outdoor bath and old terrazzo tiles.
The elegant Sang Fajar Suite is a tribute paid to the late first president and proclamator of independence of Indonesia, Soekarno. The hotel's restaurant offers the best dining in town, ranging from traditional Indonesian, Chinese and European Cuisine. The traditional waroeng at the hotel serves complimentary afternoon tea and cakes between 4pm-6pm. Several excursions in the surrounding areas can be arranged through the hotel such as touring by bike.
