This family-owned property is immersed in its own extensive vineyards and gardens, filled with fruit trees and cacti. In the grounds you can also find a tennis court, freshwater swimming pool, small spa and a clubhouse offering rooftop pilates and yoga. The restaurant serves a buffet-style breakfast in the morning, and in the evening offers traditional Sicilian fare. The hotel also has a scenic terrace where you can enjoy an aperitivo or some wine tasting.

Rooms

Most of the hotel鈥檚 rooms can be found in its main building. All rooms have a large terrace where you can enjoy views of either the sea or the hotel gardens. Rooms are minimal and modern in style with typical whitewashed walls and tiled flooring. Six rooms can be found in the 19th-century lighthouse where there is also a small museum. All rooms have modern amenities such as private bathroom, air conditioning, minibar,TV and room service.

Perched atop a cliff on the very north-eastern tip of Salina, Capofaro Locanda & Malvasia enjoys an enviable location with impressive views towards the volcanic island of Stromboli.

Food and drink

  • The breakfast buffet Includes fresh fruit, local ricotta, homemade cakes, pastries and breads. Eggs are cooked to order, with options like bacon from the Nebrodi Mountains.
  • Tasca d’Almerita is the main restaurant, blending ancient Sicilian cuisine with the best Neapolitan dishes. Over 70 percent of the vegetables are grown in the resort's gardens.
  • Malvasia wine is produced from the estate’s vineyards, including both dry and sweet varieties.
  • The bar offers a range of cocktails and most are made with local ingredients.
