Masseria Torre Coccaro

Masseria Torre Coccaro

Fasano, Italy

Housed in a historic farmstead equidistant between the town of Fasano and the sea, Masseria Torre Coccaro retains its historic charm while providing guests with a multitude of options for activities and relaxation. Today the original buildings of the masseria surround a small courtyard and have now been converted into guest rooms, suites, and lounge areas all outfitted in the traditional understated Puglian style.

The olive groves which surround the property have been in use for hundreds of years and are still cultivated by the hotels today. In addition to the groves, the property maintains working farms which produce many of the ingredients for their restaurants, ensuring the utmost freshness and ethical production standards. A short shuttle ride away from the main property, the groves give way to sand dunes, and the hotel’s private beach club allows guests to enjoy the sandy beaches and azure waters of the Adriatic Sea.

OUR OPINION:

We love Masseria Torre Coccaro for its charm and scenery, nearby beach club, and the array of activities which can keep even the most active visitors entertained.

Rooms

Each of the 40 rooms throughout the masseria offer guests boutique style decor and amenities in a unique location. Many rooms boast balconies or garden terraces with grassy entryways and sun loungers to enjoy the outdoors. If the warm Puglian sun becomes too much, interiors decorated in palettes of ivory and taupe create a cool and relaxing respite. Some rooms have views out to the sea which glimmers in the distance while others look onto the neatly-planted olive groves. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, TVs, and air-conditioning.

Location

Situated between the town of Fasano and the sea, Masseria Torre Coccaro benefits from the Puglian landscape surrounding the property, as well as the nearby beaches. A ten-minute taxi ride takes guests into Fasano, or an even shorter shuttle ride transports sunseekers to the beach. All around the property, the rocky landscape is dotted with scenic olive groves which have been in use for hundreds of years.

Food and drink

The four restaurants at the masseria and the beach club all focus on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Much of the produce is even taken from the property’s own gardens and groves. Breakfast at the hotel is one of the highlights, and guests enjoy an extensive fresh buffet as well as à la carte options. The Tower Bar is nestled into one of the historic rooms in the main building of the property where guests can sip drinks around the fireplace.

Families

A number of activities cater specifically to children and families. A kids’ club runs throughout the day entertaining kids up to 12 with a variety of age appropriate activities. A large playground area and a small water playground with water-slides and fountain features are open to families as well.

Facilities and activities

Perhaps the most popular facility of the hotel is the nearby beach club set on a stretch of sandy beach on the Adriatic Sea. However, a multitude of other activities keep guests entertained including horse riding, water sports, biking and running paths, and cooking classes to name a few. A large, pleasantly secluded pool sits among the olive groves at the masseria, and an Aveda spa offers a full menu of treatment options.
