This elegant, historic hotel is composed of three old palaces. Its paneled walls are lined with traditional fabric hung with large, ornate Renaissance paintings of Italian landscapes, original family portraits or renowned historical figures. It has excellent views of Piazza Santa Maria Novella and is just a short walk from the Duomo in the heart of town.
The rooms are bright with wooden floors and Florentine touches in the artwork and decor.
This charming boutique hotel is a wonderful mixture of the old and the new, and places a real emphasis on style. We particularly like the sumptuous decor and attentive nature of the staff.

Rooms
The rooms are spacious and carefully designed so as to keep their palazzo (palace) heritage, in the artwork and antique furnishings, without feeling outdated. The style is quite minimalist in hue, utilizing just two shades at a time, to give a light, clean and restored elegance. The bathrooms are marbled and lavish and have either a bath or a separate shower. All rooms have a TV, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. Some have views of the square, but these must be requested in advance. The marbled bathrooms are a good size considering the restrictions of being in an old palazzo.
Location
Piazza Santa Maria Novella is a bustling hub full of restaurants and cafés, just a moment’s walk from the train station. The walls of the hotel are soundproof, so you’ll still have a wonderfully peaceful stay while being within easy walking distance of the Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Repubblica.
Food and drink
Heritage green walls and leather seats characterize the cozy seating area in the bar. In contrast, the mirrored walls, Italian oil landscapes in elaborate antique frames and an airy domed ceiling reflect a very different but equally sophisticated atmosphere in the grand breakfast room. A buffet breakfast is served here with friendly, efficient service and an excellent selection of hot and cold dishes.
