Beit al Baraka

Jordan

Beit al Baraka in Umm Qais, a city in the north of Jordan, is a charming bed and breakfast set against a backdrop of mountainous views which offers guests a unique blend of local culture, and welcoming hospitality.

Beit al Baraka, meaning ‘House of blessings’ has a homely, welcoming feel as soon as you set foot in the property, and although the facilities are fairly basic, the property is comfortable and inviting. The design of Beit al Baraka is a harmonious mix of traditional and modern elements, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Bedrooms are spread out across two floors, with a private apartment downstairs, and decorated in a homely, minimalist style.

There is no restaurant on site, but we recommend requesting a home-cooked dinner during your stay. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are sourced locally, and you’ll find some of the best homemade food in Jordan here. The breakfasts are equally fantastic, with Jordanian classics such as manakeesh (like a small pizza topped with za’atar), labneh (locally produced cheese), homemade jams and lots more.

This property is owned by Baraka Destinations, a company which focuses on sustainable tourism in secondary tourism areas to bring curious travelers closer to locals conserving and protecting their cultural heritage and natural resources.

OUR OPINION:
