The Gobi Gurvansaikhan Park is the largest of Mongolia's national parks, covering two million hectares in its East-West stretch across the desert.
Within its boundaries are a multitude of terrains and geological formations, divided by the Gobi Altai mountains, comprising a number of Umnugobi province's most interesting features.
Wildlife
The park is home to a wide range of animal species, including wolf, snow leopard, ibex, argali sheep, and the rare Gobi bear.
