RV Paukan 2012 offers a luxurious and intimate experience on the Ayeyarwady. The comfort and charm on board is conveyed through its renowned service, delicious food and plentiful excursions, as well as the contemporary décor, which has touches of traditional Burmese culture such as wood carvings, local fabrics and paintings.

Your time between excursions is used to relax, unwind and watch the world go by; perhaps from the sun deck or open-air bar. When it’s time to venture ashore you’ll be treated to a detailed historical insight into the river and the local way of life. Myanmar is ever-changing and the Paukan 2012 aims to bring sights such as Bagan and the hills of Mandalay to life.

Cabins

The 18 cabins accommodate up to 34 passengers, including two single cabins, six Double Deluxe cabins and two Premier cabins on the upper deck and eight Twin Deluxe cabins on the main deck. The Premier and Deluxe cabins have French windows leading on to private balconies, with wonderful views of the river, and all cabins come with en suite bathrooms.

Dining

  • Dining room serving breakfast buffets and both local and international cuisine
  • Bar on upper deck serving cocktails and other beverages
  • Special dietary requirements, including vegetarian dishes, can be catered for if informed in advance

Routes

  • Ayeyarwady River — 1 and 2-night cruises between Bagan and Mandalay and vice versa.

Smaller than its sister boat, the RV Paukan 2012 glides elegantly along the river and blends perfectly into its surroundings thanks to the predominantly teak wood build.
