Tapas and flamenco evening

Departing from your hotel with your guide, you head into the heart of Seville’s historic district and make your way to the Museo del Baile Flamenco (Flamenco Museum). The museum was set up by the celebrated Sevillian flamenco dancer Cristina Hoyos and explains the history and development of this uniquely Andalusian form of dance, music and singing.

While here, you’ll attend an hour-long performance by some of the museum’s resident ensemble. The cast and performance change each evening but will always include a mix of male and female dancers alongside musical accompaniment.

Much of today’s flamenco music can trace its history back to the Roma community living in Seville’s Triana district, and getting the opportunity to see flamenco so close to its heartland gives you a highly authentic experience. After the performance, your guide will take you on a tapas tour, guiding you around the city as you visit a range of local bars where you can try a selection of typical dishes. En route, you’ll learn more about Sevillian culture and culinary heritage and get a good introduction to Spanish tapas that should give you the confidence in your food choices later on in your trip.

At the end of the tour, your guide can either escort you back to your hotel or recommend further bars to try and leave you to continue the evening at your leisure.
