Selous Safari Camp is located on the bank of the Rufiji River, which flows through Nyerere National Park. It offers accommodation in very comfortable, spacious tents made of canvas and thatch, all of which are colorfully furnished and built on raised platforms. They each feature an en suite with flush toilet and a shady veranda on which you can relax during the heat of the day as you watch game down by the river bed.
The camp’s dining deck looks right over the river, giving you a fantastic view to enjoy over breakfast, while bush babies can be spotted leaping through trees close to the dining area in the evening. There's also a shady pool area, again with views over the river, which provides a lovely respite from the heat of the day between game activities.
Selous Kulinda Camp offers wonderful value for money and we get great feedback from our clients who stay here.

There are just a handful of tents in total, spanning two categories. Most are Standard Tents, which are simple but comfortable and tastefully furnished. The Deluxe Tents are larger in size and feature private plunge pools at the front, overlooking the river, where you can watch the birdlife and people from the local village as they fish from their boats. All tents have en suite bathrooms with hot water and flush toilets, as well as a veranda for private relaxation.
Location
The camp is situated just outside Nyerere National Park, which is a 20-minute drive away and is where you'll enjoy most of your activities.Â
Food and drink
Breakfast includes a continental buffet, as well as the option of a hot breakfast cooked to order. You can enjoy a drink on the deck while watching the sun go down, or as you sit around the fire before heading to the main deck for a private candlelit dinner, served to you by the waiter assigned to you for your stay.
Families
Children over the age of five are welcome at Selous Kulinda Camp. Tents can have either twin or double beds, with the option to create a triple room for larger families.
